Ireland: mandatory disclosure of PPSN number for directors
As of Quarter 1, 2023, directors of companies in Ireland will be required to provide their personal public service number (PPSN) when incorporating a company, filing annual returns and notifying a change of director. The number, as well as other personal details of directors provided to the Companies Registration Office (CRO), shall match the details held by the Department of Social Protection. The PPSN will be stored by the CRO partially to ensure compliance with GDPR.
It is expected that different requirements will be introduced for persons who do not hold PPSN later this year.
