Poland – Obtaining and Registering an e-Delivery Box
As of November 2023, all entities in Poland registered in the Register of Entrepreneurs (KRS) are required to obtain and register an e-Delivery box.
The e-Delivery System is intended to replace traditional paper correspondence between public institutions and other entities (individuals, businesses, etc.) while retaining the legal value of such correspondence.
Only public suppliers (Poszta Polska S.A) or commercial providers authorized by the Ministry of Digitization can offer electronic delivery box services. It is important to note that the administrator responsible for managing the company’s e-Delivery Box must be selected as well.
Those who registered with the National Court Register on or after the 30th of December 2023, must have opened an e-Delivery account by 1st of October 2024.
For those who registered before the 30th of December 2023, the deadline is the 1st of January 2025.
The risk of non-compliance
There is currently no information about penalties for late establishment of an e-Delivery box. However, it cannot be ruled out that specific laws will introduce sanctions in the future.
