New optional UBO registration in Japan for Joint Stock Companies
As of 31 January 2022, Kabushiki Kaisha (KK) companies in Japan can register their Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBO) at the Legal Affairs Bureau.
The KK company or authorized individuals can get access to the list of UBO after the registration at the Legal Affairs Bureau. The UBO information could be convenient for the third parties or service providers.
