Greece: temporary suspension of the access to the Beneficial Owners Register
Following the Court of Justice of the European Union Judgement issued on the 22nd of November 2022, Greece has suspended access to the Register of Beneficial Owners for the general public.
Initial suspension was granted until the 31st of January 2023, which has been further extended until the 30th of June 2023.
Other EU countries that have suspended public access to UBO registers following last year’s judgement include: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta and the Netherlands.
Further updates from the remaining member states are expected this year.
