Keeping Register of Registrable Controllers up-to-date in Singapore
It is well known that since 2017, all Singaporean entities have been required to maintain a register of registrable controllers (RORC) and file it with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA). What about regular review of RORC information – is it actually required? According to Singaporean law, there is no official obligation to update the RORC information lodged with ACRA on the annual basis unless there is a change to the existing details. Companies however must still ensure that the RORC information remains up-to-date at all times and file the updates when there is any change.
