Mexico – Renewal deadlines for Registry of Providers of Specialized Services or Works (REPSE)
Mexico’s Ministry of Labor and Social Security (STPS) has released the 2024 deadlines for individuals and entities to renew their registration with the Registry of Providers of Specialized Services or Works (REPSE).
REPSE registration applies to any company or individual that needs to be contracted or subcontracted by the beneficiary of said specialized services or works.
The REPSE is valid for three years from first registration and a renewal application must be filed according to the calendar published by the STPS based on the year and month of original registration.

The risk of non-compliance
Failure to comply with this requirement may result in:
- Cancellation of the REPSE registration and lawful provision or receipt of specialized services
- Fines of up to MXS$ 5,428,500 (approx. USD$310,000) for providing or receiving specialized services without REPSE
- Risk of triggering a tax evasion offense under criminal regulation
- Challenges from the Tax Authority over invoices relating to specialized services
