New Updates from Corporations Canada

Corporations Canada, the Canadian Registry, is implementing new measures to protect the public corporate record for federal corporations by updating the procedure and improving the functionality of the system. From September there will be email notifications when there are changes to a federal corporation’s director, registered office address and name and status which have been filed with Corporations Canada.

From mid-September, when logging in to the Online Filing Centre, a unique corporation key is required for every federal corporation to submit for view/change director information, change registered office information, dissolve a corporation, amend articles, add/change additional address, and register a federal corporation in a province or territory.

These updates are part of CC’s plan to improve mechanisms for protecting the integrity of federal corporate information.
