Singapore – ACRA Migrates to New Online Filing System
On the 9th of December 2024, Singapore’s Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) migrated to a new digital service portal for business registration, filing and information – Bizfile.
This transition introduces significant changes and potential challenges, requiring companies to familiarize themselves with the updated system before filing, including:
1. Enhanced Information Requirements: ACRA now requests additional details for certain transactions, such as shareholder contact information. Companies may need to collect more data from before filing with ACRA until fully acclimated to the new system.
2. Bizfile+ is currently experiencing technical challenges. Companies should consider prioritizing time-sensitive filings and managing non-urgent submissions to mitigate potential delays.
