UAE: Change of visa validity in Dubai Multi Commodities Centre free zone
The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (FAIC) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has recently scrapped the three-year visa validity period in favor of visas for one to two years.
Companies registered with a free zone Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) will now no longer be able to apply, renew nor transfer their visa across the UAE for three years.
Due to this change, companies with any active visa applications for visa stamping yet to be completed will be automatically converted to the two years validity without a new application. The DMCC will automatically refund any difference in fees through its Member Portal once the visa stamping process is completed.
