The Global Compliance Calendar – Are you ready for 2025?

With another new year fast approaching, the countdown is on for in-house legal and compliance teams to start planning and building their compliance calendars for 2025.

Each year these teams are faced with an ever-growing list of regulatory compliance requirements and 2025 brings with it new rules, deadlines and mandatory reporting obligations for companies to adhere to.

Why use a compliance calendar?

A compliance calendar is a way to keep track of all requirements across all jurisdictions within a company’s entity portfolio.

Even a seemingly slight mishap in a far-flung jurisdiction can trigger a ripple effect across the entire company structure – disrupting business operations or incurring substantial financial penalties and potentially even incur criminal liability.

When working in a large, complex international structure, a compliance calendar can help in-house teams to pinpoint the compliance status and requirements in each jurisdiction and ensure efficiency.

As well as tracking external regulatory reporting dates, a compliance calendar can be a way to track internal filings and deadlines such as annual reports, financial statements and quarterly directors’ meetings.

Compliance calendars can also help in-house teams when scheduling annual leave, looking at upcoming due dates on reporting requirements and providing visibility on peak reporting periods based on the entity portfolio.
